Tingle reacts to the Wind Waker HD news
♫ Aonuma ain’t do it right if you ask me
If I was him, I’d make Majora’s Mask in HD ♫
Monolith Soft’s X
Wind Waker HD looks hot and all, but we need to talk about this new Wii U project from the developer behind cult RPG Xenoblade Chronicles. Shit looks ridic.
Watch the trailer past the break — it starts off looking like a predictable Xenoblade follow-up with Monster Hunter elements, but then people start hopping into mechas that transform into futuristic cycles and slice up giant dino dudes. And we haven’t even mentioned the music yet, child. We haven’t even mentioned the music.
Forgot about Pandora’s Tower
We were super busy at the Tiny Cartridge office this week, so we missed this great news: Xseed will release Ganbarion’s Wii action RPG Pandora’s Tower (published by Nintendo in Japan and Europe) in North America some time this Spring. The people at Xseed are heroes, reminders that there’s still reason to leave hope in our hearts.
As far as Operation Rainfall projects go, I always thought of this one as the lesser of the trio — were this part of Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance trilogy of Korean films, this would have been Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance — still great, but not at the same level as the other two entries. Nevertheless, it’s great to see the Wii get one last notable game this year.PREORDER Pandora's Tower

Pokémon X/Y’s new starters and 3D world
Farewell, 2D Pokémon sprites. Announced for 3DS this morning, Pokémon X and Y will be the first fully 3D entry for the series, as well as the first one to receive a simultaneous worldwide release (October 2013).
You can watch the full trailer for more clips of the 3D world, starter creature attacks, and a peek at sixth generation legendaries here.

Holy crap, this DS game is amazing
Released in Japan a few years ago and inspired by a popular manga/anime, Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo features all sorts of fun minigames like: dog breakdancing, Super Mario Bros. 3-style face matching, and some kind of crying/ballet dancing activity. I need to import this.
