This whole thing is so fucking brilliant and amazing that I almost cried.
If someone walked by my desk right now, they’d see tears in my eyes. Nothing’s wrong! Just watching the trailer for Indie Game: The Movie for the millionth time and still tearing up.
Saw Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows with my sister tonight.
First off, that behind-the-scenes picture that was going around Tumblr a few months back with Robert Downey Jr. sporting the Fu Manchu facial hair: It’s the opening scene of the movie, it’s only for a short time, and he doesn’t try an accent with it. It’s purely for blending into a crowd, but still iffy. At least it’s not as bad as it could’ve been. There is gratuitous “gypsy” usage and I’m unsure if their representation of the culture is any form of accurate, but I can file that under “nobody’s perfect”.
With that out of the way, I loved it. I liked it more than the first one. They amped up the bromance between Holmes and Watson so hard that it’s practically fan service at times, but it always fits. It’s fantastic. Tons of fun, great style, and clever dialogue.
GOOD TIMES.

Saw this movie (Crazy, Stupid, Love) with my sister this past weekend. It was good. Not a whole lot much more than good, but it was good. It was pretty funny, and there’s a certain scene that made it all worth it. I definitely wouldn’t have liked it as much without it and what it did for the story.
The previews are misleading; it’s a Steve Carrell movie and everyone else is a supporting character. I was glad it turned out this way because I was expecting to sort-of connected storylines, when it was really about Carrell’s and everyone else’s stuff was tangential to his story.
I leave on this note: Ryan Gosling is a charmer and Emma Stone is super awesome.
