Trophy progress in Guacamelee!.
I am missing two trophies (excluding the platinum) in the base game, and both will be obtained by beating the game on Hard mode. I got all the Skin Pack trophies and I am missing two of the Level Pack trophies, which involve getting gold on a bunch of hard challenges and doing a certain challenge a crazy insane way.
I will probably never get the Level Pack to 100% but I can totally platinum the base game.

Wake-up Club comes to Vita next week

Wake-up Club is a super cute Vita app that lets you set an alarm clock, then puts you in a group of 12 other random users, to compare how quickly you get up after your alarm, compared to your group. You can also send encouragement to your group to help them get up, and see who’s still sleeping.

The PSN app will be released next Tuesday for free. It’s a pretty smart way to encourage people to integrate the Vita into their daily lives…

BUY PS Vita

This is so weird.

(A few) PSOne Classics playable on Vita

tinycartridge:

Vita firmware 1.80 is live, which enables PSOne Classics support on the handheld. But not, like all the PSOne Classics. Here’s the official list of US “launch” games:

  • Arc the Lad
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Hot Shots Golf 2
  • Jet Moto
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tomb Raider
  • Twisted Metal 2
  • Wild Arms

Plus four more MonkeyPaw-published games that aren’t on Sony’s list for some odd reason:

  • Arc the Lad 2
  • Vanguard Bandits
  • Tomba
  • Alundra

The situation is wayyyyyy better in Europe, where 129 games go up for Vita today. But neither territory allows me to play Um Jammer Lammy on my Vita, so :(

Street Fighter X Tekken Vita trailer. The big news today, of course, is the October 23 release date, and the AR photography stuff is pretty interesting too.

But the most interesting part for me is that the silhouette people from the Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition trailer are back to demonstrate another handheld fighting game’s networking!

UMMM??

Does the Vita’s D-pad or analog nub work well for fighting games? I sort of really want this.

Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees opening. Once again, a new Ys game is on the way (to PS Vita), and I’m excited. Once again, I’m going to buy it if and when it comes out stateside, and once again, I’ll make it a couple of hours in and have to stop for some reason.
